The FIFPRO World XI is an annual selection of the best male and female football players by the International Professional Footballers Association. This award was originally known as FIFA PRO WORLD XI since its inception in 2005 to honor the best soccer players selected by their peers.
In partnership with FIFA in 2009, it was renamed "FIFA FIFPRO World11" while maintaining its original format. Starting from 2024, FIFPRO will independently manage this award and restore its original name: FIFPRO WorldXI.
This annual lineup is determined through voting by professional players worldwide and represents a unique global accolade entirely decided by athletes themselves. The evaluation period for eligible player performances spans from August 21,2023,to July14 ,2024,during which they must have participated in at least30 official matches.
The final composition of the eleven-player lineup will consist of one goalkeeper + three defenders + three midfielders + three forwards+the highest remaining vote-getter who is not a goalkeeper .
